Cheryl L. Whetstone is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Professional School Counselor and National Certified Counselor. Cheryl is an active member of the Alabama Counseling Association. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages dealing with a variety of issues. Cheryl specializes in working with adolescents coping with anxiety, grief and loss, social skills and trauma. She has a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a PhD in social work from the University of Alabama. She has been practicing for almost 25 years. Throughout her career, Dr. Harmon has direct service experience with couples, families, adults, and adolescents, and has co-led various court-ordered programs focusing on domestic violence intervention, juvenile substance abuse prevention, anger management, and divorced and unmarried parents. She has also done mitigation work for capital murder cases. Her passion is to see individuals, couples, and families live life to the fullest, and to build or restore healthy relationships.

She has over 20 years of service as an employee of the State of Alabama, across 3 agencies. Dr. Alexander holds degrees in Psychology/Sociology, Social Work and Family Therapy.
